Designed with an in-line cylinder arrangement and a 17.5:1 compression ratio, the engine utilizes a direct injection system and a mechanical fuel pump to ensure reliable power delivery. This mechanical foundation is built for durability, featuring a robust SAE 3 flywheel housing and a liquid-cooling system that utilizes a 50% antifreeze mixture.

Versatile Power Ratings and Performance

This engine is engineered to meet two primary operational standards: Prime Power (PRP) and Emergency Standby Power (ESP). At 1500 RPM, it delivers a continuous PRP of 30 kWm, with a 10% overload capability available for one hour in every 12-hour period. For critical failures, the ESP rating provides 33 kWm. To maintain long-term reliability, the average load factor over any 24-hour period should not exceed 70% of the respective power rating.

The lubrication system is equally robust, featuring an 11.5-liter total capacity and an oil flow rate of 22 L/min, ensuring that even at an idle speed, the oil pressure remains at or above 1 Bar. 

Integrated Cooling and Airflow Engineering

The cooling package is designed for high-ambient environments, capable of operating in temperatures up to 50°C. It utilizes a mechanical, belt-driven pusher fan that generates an airflow of 48 m³/min. The air intake system is designed for minimal restriction, featuring a clean filter restriction limit of ≤35 mBar. For exhaust management, the system handles a flow of 6.48 m³/min at ESP while maintaining a maximum back pressure of 80 mBar. 

Electrical and Cold-Start Specifications

The unit operates on a 12Vdc negative-to-ground electrical system, powered by a 3.7 kW starter motor. For battery maintenance, it includes a charger with a 55A current output. The engine is capable of starting in temperatures as low as -5°C without assistance, or -15°C when equipped with an auxiliary starting device. For emergency applications requiring an immediate start under load, the installation of coolant heaters is recommended to maintain constant circulation across all components.
