Generators By kW or kVA

Selecting the right generator size is crucial for both performance and longevity—an undersized generator will struggle under heavy loads, potentially damaging both the unit and your connected equipment through voltage drops and overheating. Conversely, consistently running an oversized generator at low capacity (below 30-40% load) causes inefficient fuel consumption, increased running costs, and can lead to engine problems like carbon buildup and "wet stacking" in diesel units, significantly shortening the generator's lifespan.

Generators By Brand / Engine Manufacturer

Do you know what brand or engine you want for your next generator? Then please see the list below to go straight to your choice of either brand or engine manufacturer to see our offerings. Do you have any questions? Why not have a chat with our team who can help you choose the correct machine for you.

1500RPM Diesel Generators

Because these 1500rpm diesel generators run at a slower speed than most over-generators, they are less-stressed than the smaller models, they’re suitable for static installation for daily prime power, as well as for standby use. You can expect over 10,000 hours of use from a 1500rpm engine, compared to 2000 - 3000 hours for a faster running 3000rpm engine. We offer some of the best brands in the UK and have put together a range of generators to over 1 megawatt of power output. We also have ensured that we offer you some of the best engine options in the industry like Cummins, Perkins, Volvo, Doosan, Kubota, and Hyundai to name but a few. It doesn't matter the application you need a diesel generator for, we have an option for you. Still have questions? We are happy to help you and talk through your needs and advise on makes and models to suit your personal or business requirements.

Biogas Generators

Biogas Generators: Harnessing Renewable Energy from Organic Waste Biogas generators are innovative systems that transform organic waste into a valuable source of renewable energy. Leveraging the natural process of anaerobic digestion, biogas generators offer an eco-friendly solution for both waste management and energy production. How They Work: Biogas generators utilize anaerobic bacteria to break down organic materials like agricultural residue, food scraps, animal manure, and wastewater into biogas. This gas primarily consists of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2). The biogas produced can be harnessed for a variety of energy needs, ranging from electricity generation to heating and cooking. Environmental Benefits: One of the key advantages of biogas generators is their positive impact on the environment. By capturing methane, a potent greenhouse gas, and converting it into usable energy, biogas generators help mitigate climate change. These systems also contribute to waste reduction by utilizing organic materials that would otherwise decompose and release methane into the atmosphere.

Diesel Generators

Here at Lawn and Power Ltd, we have sourced the best selection of diesel generators in the UK marketplace just for you. Our suppliers include Pramac, Hyundai, Warrior, Volvo, Doosan, Iveco, Perkins, Cummins, and Kubota to name just a few. We offer single-phase or 3-phase to over one megawatt so we will have a unit to suit your needs. We offer smaller generators for powering site-tools to larger units that can power an industrial factory, and everything in between. We also can advise and supply change over gear for either manual or automatic switching in the event of a power cut for most of our range.

Dual Fuel - Petrol / LPG Generators

Having a generator that can run off LPG (propane gas) results in many benefits. These include: It can be plugged directly into a gas hookup on a caravan or mobile catering van. Further reduced engine noise in certain circumstances. Improved combustion, as LPG reaches the engine in gas form, rather than liquid. Enhanced starting, even from cold, with a smoother ignition. The engine oil does not become diluted which results in lower servicing costs. NB. Regular servicing is still recommended. Lower cost, especially for users who already use LPG elsewhere. No need to have to store or bring a supply of petrol with you if you do already have a supply of LPG. NB: As an average LPG generators use about 0.4kg of gas per kilowatt per hour.

Generator Parts and Accessories

We offer a range of generator accessories that can run alongside your unit to ensure you get the best out of it. We are more than happy to advise the best products to suit both needs and budget. Also included here are replacement and service parts

HVO Compatible Generators

HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) generators represent the cutting edge of sustainable power generation, delivering all the performance and reliability of traditional diesel equipment while slashing carbon emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil diesel.

Inverter Generators

Inverter generators generally tend to use less fuel and are quieter than their conventional counterparts by producing electricity on-demand. This is because they only produce the electricity that your devices require from the inverter generator at that time. With the lower power requirements, the engine can run at slower speeds with less noise and fuel consumption. Popular uses for inverter generators are camping trips, motorhomes, or caravanning use. Some can even run items like power tools, so can be great to have for that DIY enthusiast in your life. These generators are generally for leisure use and not geared up for running many hours at a time. Still have questions? Give us a call to discuss your requirements, we are sure we will be able to advise on a machine to suit you.

LPG / Natural Gas Generators

LPG and natural gas generators offer a cleaner, more convenient, and cost-effective alternative to traditional petrol and diesel models, delivering reliable backup power without the hassle of fuel degradation or constant refilling.

Open Frame Generators

Open frame generators are the workhorses of portable power, offering robust performance, excellent cooling, and unbeatable value for construction sites, outdoor events, and backup power applications where durability and accessibility matter more than noise reduction. The exposed engine design allows maximum airflow around all components, preventing overheating during extended run times and heavy loads, while making routine maintenance like oil checks, spark plug changes, and air filter cleaning incredibly straightforward—you can see and access everything without removing panels or cowlings. This simplicity translates to lower purchase costs and easier DIY servicing, making open frame models the go-to choice for tradespeople and contractors who need dependable power generation without premium pricing. They're typically lighter and more compact than enclosed equivalents at the same wattage, easier to lift and maneuver around job sites, and their rugged tubular steel frames can withstand the knocks and bumps of daily professional use. While they do run louder than enclosed inverter models, that's rarely a concern on busy construction sites or rural locations, and for many users, the combination of affordability, reliability, accessible maintenance, and excellent cooling performance makes open frame generators the most practical choice for serious power needs.

Petrol Generators

These are great for running some power tools, catering vans, mobile coffee units, and many other things besides. These will have many options to consider when you are looking to buy one, options may include things like electric start, wheel kits to make it easy to maneuver around the job site, long-run fuel tanks, and many more options too. Need some advice on petrol generators? Give us a call to discuss your requirements as we will be happy to advise you.

Portable Power Stations

Portable power stations are designed to keep low voltage devices, like tablets, phones and laptops charged, making them ideal for weekend camping trips and emergency power supply. Portable power stations offer a fast and effective solution to keeping your devices powered.

Standby / Backup Generators

Generator designed to take the load when there is a loss of power from the national grid. With the help of an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches) they can kick in automatically, with minimal disruption to the power. We have options suitable for use with anything from a food trailer to a powering a large building.
